Grytt is a personalised workout logging app where users can log workouts and, if they choose to connect as friends, view each other’s workout logs. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect
Email address (for login and communication)
Date of birth (to personalise experience and verify eligibility)
Training mode (strength, endurance, etc.)
Workout frequency (days per week)
Gender (to personalise insights)
Consent for notifications (opt-in/out)
Social data (friends list and workout visibility you choose to share)
2. How We Use Your Information
Provide and improve app features
Personalise training insights
Enable social features with friends
Send notifications if you opted in
Maintain account security and comply with laws
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your data. Information may be shared with:
Your friends (if you enable sharing of workout logs)
Service providers (hosting, support) under confidentiality
Authorities if required by law
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for the following periods:
Account & profile data (email, date of birth, gender, training mode, workout frequency): retained while your account is active.
Workout & exercise data (workout logs, exercises, sets, reps): retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
Device & usage data: retained in anonymized form for up to 12 months to improve the app.
Crash & diagnostic data: retained for up to 90 days.
5. Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time:
In-app: Go to Account Settings and tap “Delete Account”.
Email: Send a request to gryttfitnes@gmail.com with the subject “Delete My Account”.
Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer if required by applicable law (e.g., financial or legal obligations). After deletion, your data cannot be recovered.

7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is 100% secure.
8. Children’s Privacy
Grytt is not for children under 13 (or the legal minimum age in your country).
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will update the “Effective date” when changes are made.
